Please and thank you
A lovely sentiment I read on a Discord server this morning—
At the end of the day, we're all just saying please and thank you to each other in one form or another.
Please reassure me, please look around and see the beauty around you, please think about how I feel, please stop hurting yourself, please see me for who I am. Thank you for giving me your time even though you'll never get it back, thank you for being a safe person to be around, thank you for engaging with my art, thank you for teaching me something new.
If I had to define language, explain it, boil it down to a breath despite all the words in humanity's arsenal... I might just do it like this.
